The BMW 335I When it comes to the perfect mix of luxury, style, and performance, very few cars can match the BMW 3 series. It has such a strong following internationally and it’s symbol means quality and exceptional performance.
The 335I is loaded with many great features, the sport package gives the feel of refined handling and aggressive styling second to none. The available hard top convertible is easy to use and operates in a matter of seconds. It is a heavier coupe, with a tight grip on the road at all times.
The convertible has it’s limitations but they are few; trunk space is as expected minimal and there are some blind spots when the top is up due to design. However, these minor flaws are a small price to pay considering what the BMW 335I hard top convertible offers. Styling is modern and sleek while remaining true to the 3 series look and feel. Handling is crisp and responsive, and the run flat tires make long commutes safer. The on board GPS system is accurate and user friendly, and as always the Harmon/Kardin stereo system is excellent. Wind noise is minimal due to the solid construction and design of the hard top, and when the top is down the world is visible 360 degrees.
Fuel economy is above average considering the available 3.0 litre Twin Turbo engine that is in the 335I sport edition. Also available in the sport package is an enhanced, race inspired dual exhaust which exhales an understated yet aggressive tone. This car is a real head turner, it is hard to miss when the top is down at a busy intersection. The interior is not extraordinarily opulent but the leather bucket seats are very comfortable and stable even at higher speeds. Trim package is beautifully done with quality and precision. Controls for the navigation and stereo are found in the centre area as is common with BMW, navigating the menus is mainly simple but there are some instances in the GPS where the menus can be a bit cumbersome. All in all the BMW 335I is a fantastic car, delivering all of the fine performance and quality expected by the BMW brand.
