eBay and Gumtree, even Autotrader watch out there is a new kid in town for selling cars and it comes in the form of the Facebook Marketplace. Free, fast and easy to use Facebook Marketplace allows sellers and buyers to unite and whats more sales are based on the local area and so the system really does seem to work.
How to list a car on Facebook…
If you are a member of Facebook then all your need to do to sell your car is to log in and head on over to the Marketplace by clicking on the “marketplace” icon in the left hand side of the screen. Once inside the marketplace simply add some pictures and a description of the car you have for sale and then add a location and a price. Click the post button and your car will be available for all to see within the marketplace.
Get more views via Groups
Car buying and selling groups are the best way to get more traction and views on your advert for a car on sale. Normally local groups are the best ways to sell, hence if you live in Manchester then join the manchester cars for sale group, likewise if you live in Leeds then join the Leeds cars for sale groups. There are also some national groups for cars for sale such as cars for less than 500 and cars for less than 300 and cars for 1000 and so on. Once you have your car listed in the groups near you then it just a case of replying to the people who are interested in your car.
Beware selling cars via paypal or bank transfer or by western union etc as money can be recalled via these services. Scammers are everywhere online and as such you should be sure that you trust the person buying your car, even if it is only worth £300.
