Toyota Prius

September 24, 2013 by admin

The Toyota Prius has a rating in the reliability index of 45 which is considered very good. The average repair cost is 403.28 British pounds. The warranty rating is Good according to Warranty Direct. It is a good family car listed for 3 to 9 pasasengers and also has a good reputation as a commercial taxi. Seating is comfortable all the way around and heating and air conditioning are designed with this in mind. It has a large sloping windscreen which some might not appreciate for the view due to the amount of sunlight.

The major breakdown worry is the heating and cooling system at 48% failure rate. After that, the vehicle looks good at only 14% failure rate in the axle & suspension or transmission. It appears the gear box never breaks down and everything else has a good failure percentage rate under 6.5%. Finally, the good news about repairs is that it usually takes under two and a half hours. Not bad. Toyota won the 2005 Car of the Year Award; a good economical family car addressing the green issue with this plug-in hybrid edition.

Currently, the 2013 Prius is boasting fuel efficiency at 51 city/48 hwy (mpg). Lastly, I always think safety is key. This car is loaded with Star Satety System including Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Antilock Brake Systgem (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Smart Stop Technology (SST). What I am really excited about, is the Pre-Collision System (PCS): Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and the Head-uo Display (HUD) with speedometer, navigation and Hybrid System indicator. I am your average little (5’2″) grandmother who likes to curl up on the back seat and go to sleep on long drives, so that gives you a sense of the comfort and design that went into some of these features.
